It all started by accident…

It felt cold. Transactional. And it wasn’t working. 

So, he moved on to freelancers...

He thought maybe hiring one person directly would be better. So, he tried Upwork and Fiverr, brought a few people on, and for a moment, it felt like a step forward. BUT THEN... 
 
The issues started showing up. One rushed through work and missed key details. Another stopped replying because they were juggling too many clients. Even when things started off strong, they never lasted. 

Still trying to make it work, Matt turned to referrals. He figured someone in his circle had to know a solid hire. But even those didn’t stick.  

Training felt endless, quality was all over the place, and just when someone started to get the hang of things, they’d disappear too. 

But NOTHING actually worked...

One day one of his Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) meetup, Matt was casually walking through how he’d built his remote team...

“Wait...how is this even legal?” 
“How much are you paying them?” 

Everyone was leaning in. One guy pulled out his phone mid-conversation to take notes. Another said, “You’ve got to be kidding me. I’ve been trying to do this for months.” 

They wanted a piece of his goldmine...

Then, under the table, a friend kicked Matt hard enough to get his attention. No whisper. Just a look, like, Dude, do you realize what you’ve built? 


He had no idea how many other people were trying to solve the exact same problem. 

So he helped a few of them out. Then a few more. And what started as doing a couple favors turned into a flood of referrals. 

No ads. No sales team. Just word of mouth and real demand. 
 
And in less than a year, he hit $4 million in revenue, purely from demand.  

So, he refined the recruiting process, nailed down compliance, and built out the backend to handle payroll, benefits, onboarding, and all the works.  

Then it hit him: franchising was the next big move... 

As referrals kept rolling in, Matt found himself running a thriving business from anywhere, taking client calls in Bali, closing deals from Tulum... 

What started as a fix for his own hiring challenges became a blueprint for freedom.
